Nava Kailayam RouteMap

Sep 22,2010. Few days back we went to nava kailayam, lord siva temples in nellai and tuticorin districts. Most of us known about nava thirupathi temples which will be completely in tuticorin district. Nowdays bus facilities are also available in festival days. But most of us doesn't know about nava kailayam details. The places are as follows:
1)பாபநாசம் - சூரியன்
2)சேரன்மகாதேவி - சந்திரன்
3)கோடகநல்லூர் - செவ்வாய்(
4)குன்னத்தூர்(திருவேங்கடநாதபுரம்) - ராகு
5)முறப்பநாடு - வியாழன்
6)ஸ்ரீவைகுண்டம் - சனி
7)தென்திருப்பேரை - புதன்
8)இராஜபதி - கேது
9)சேர்ந்தபூமங்கலம் - சுக்கிரன்

1,2,3,4 are in nellai district.
1) The Papanasam(Suryan) temple is available upto afternoon 12 pm.
2) For CheranMahadevi(Chandran) temple, morning 7-10 am is the best timing to dharsan.
3) For kodakanallur(Chevvai) which is on the way of cheranmahadevi to nellai route. That is, just 1.5 - 2 km from the (2) temple. From [NaduKallur] village, kodakanallur will be diverted.

4)Thiruvenkadanathapuram is very famous as nellai thirupathi temple. From this temple, 0.5 km we can reach the kunnathur(Rahu) temple

5) Murrappanadu(Kuru) - On the way of nellai to vallanadu this village situated.

6) 6 to 9 are in sequence.

All the temples are situated in thamirabarani river banks.
